Anointed to Come Out!

February 1, 2020

As I was in prayer the Lord wanted me to encourage you to let you know that you were not called to fit into a mold.  In this season you have to be who God has called you to be.  Don't be afraid to be you.  You don't have to copy what others are doing in order to fit in.  It's time for that anointed part of you to come out and be unapologetically you! When God anoints you no one can stop you!

According to the Bakers Evangelical Dictionary of Theology, The word "anointed means to smear or rub with oil for religious purposes.  God empowered people to accomplish His tasks once they were anointed.  When you were anointed in the Bible days, technically no one was allowed to harm "the anointed."

You won't look like everyone else, you won't be like the norm, and you have to learn to embrace that.  You may be rejected by others but learn to accept it.

I remember getting on different stages to preach and the Lord said to me "this is not your platform I've called you to."  So, I had to learn to be alright with what He said.

So, I'm telling you today to embrace the you that God has called you to be because that's where your strength lies.  Stand out and be who God created you to be from your mother's womb.  Are you eclectic, short, thin, heavyset or stutter like Moses did?  Whatever your idiosyncrasies are, then embrace them.  Because when you are anointed by God, he anoints you with all of your idiosyncrasies.  You may look like John the Baptist who ate locust and wild honey in the woods. He was strange to most and isolated but he was anointed to prepare the way for Jesus!

You may be considered a boring person but just remember the time when Paul's sermon was so boring.  His sermon was so boring that Eutychus fell asleep from a third-story window and died.  Paul with his boring self was able to bring him back to life.  So, although his sermon may have been boring to others, he had an anointing to raise the dead!. See Acts 20: 7-12.

I want to encourage you today and let you know that you have been anointed to come out from the hiding. You've been anointed to come out of the shame of what your mother or father did.  You've been anointed to come out and be free of your past mistakes.  You will never forget your mistakes but embrace them and learn from them.  This is all a part of the process in the journey of becoming the beautifully unique person God made you.

I am rooting and praying for you.
